Subject AM protean shake
Hi Vincent!
Generally this goods good. The changes I would make to reverse DM and prevent more insulin resistance include:
1. Sun warrior is ok. We like a combo of proteins such as one that contains protein not solely from brown rice such as a brown rice/chia/hemp mix. We carry a GREAT one which is a wonderful source of protein but it also has phytocnutrients to help heal a system devastated from the effects of imbalanced blood sugar. Check it out: http://store.bloodsugarsolution.com/Store/Show/Protein-Shakes/739/Pure-Lean-Powder%2c-chocolate Comes in Vanilla too
2. Get rid of the acai juice!! Until you complete the program, abstain from ALL juice. It is a quick sugar and raises your blood glucose too quickly. WHile on the program we suggest taking out all juices...
3. Switch the peanut butter to 2 tablespoons raw almonds. Might be good to stay away from peanuts for now.
4. For greens- these are EXCELLENT: http://store.drhyman.com/Store/Show/SearchResults/406/PaleoGreens-Lemon-Lime
5. Dr Hyman would suggest NO banana while on the advanced plan. I think the berries are sufficient for now. However if you feel you need some more carbs ( if you feel shaky, lightheaded, or any other low blood sugar symptoms) than a small bit of banana is fine. Otherwise, try to only include the berries for now.
6. Make sure the almond milk is unsweetened.
Sincerely,
Lizzy
